Shay's rebellion was started by a man named daniel shays. After the revolutionary war the nation went on a depression, buisnesses activity slowed down, prices and wages fell, and unemployment rose. The depression hit farmers. Farmers were getting loans they couldnt pay back to the point where they were seizing farms if they couldnt pay thier loans back. They attacked courthouses and prevented the state from seizing farms. The massachusetts legislature sent the malicia to drive them away. This showed a sign that articles of confederation didnt work. This thing made an entirly new framework of government.
